Midwich Christmas Cracker

Business Growth Direct asked us to conceptualise and build a viral Christmas game for electronics supplier Midwich. After planning and designing the main game concept we worked with BGD’s server side development team to plan the server communications and security strategy.
Once the concepts were agreed by the client we used 3D animation to model and render each of the 5 different crackers moving through 3D space and then being pulled, ejecting streamers and particle effects.

Nissan Crossover Microsite

Nissan UK wanted their dealer network to have the ability to display rich media details about their crossover range of vehicles on a website that contained the dealers contact details and allowed the user to book a test drive at their local dealership direct from the microsite.
Business Growth Direct produced wireframes which we then turned into design templates for BGD’s development team to build. We also designed and produced the Flash elements of the microsite including the virtual tour and gallery sections for each car. We encoded video supplied by Nissan and built the player into the centre of the gallery page to provide a seamless interface for the user.

Midwich Autumn Campaign

Digital agency BGD asked us to design some online marketing material for electronics supplier Midwich. BGD wanted to use firework imagery to push the Autumn theme so we designed a landing page with an in-line Flash header that contains video content of a firework display. We also designed a supporting email which linked through to the offers page.
We developed the header so that it holds on a static shot whilst the video is buffering and then automatically starts playing once everything is loaded. We also added code to the header which makes the audio fade out after a set amount of time.

Harley Davidson microsite & email design

Archant, a leading publisher in the UK wanted to update the system they used to publish email newsletters for motorcycle manufacturers Harley Davidson. Archant felt that they were limited by their existing system so videotrader worked with Business Growth Direct to create a more up to date and flexible email newsletter system for them. Videotrader designed multiple email templates and a microsite that allows Harley Davidson owners to look through newsletter archives.

Nissan Dealer Websites

We worked with Business Growth Direct’s planning team to develop wireframes and concepts for a dealer network website system that Nissan UK could offer their dealers across the country.
We provided design templates and flash content for each of the major sections of the website which BGD’s development team then turned into a highly configurable CMS system allowing individual dealers to customise their websites whilst retaining centrally controlled information and media feeds.
