The CD-ROM’s produced deliver video & audio content, as well as pdf’s and word documents allowing users of multiple versions of Windows and Mac OSX to easily access content that supports the learning process when used in conjunction with the books.

Cambridge ESOL exams are the world’s leading range of certificates for learners of English. Each year they are taken by over 2 million people, in 130 countries.

Videotrader was asked to design and develop a CD-ROM to accompany one of Cambridge ESOL’s latest publications ‘The Original FCE Handbook’. Sold with the book, the cd runs on multiple versions of windows as well as on mac computers. The cd contains footage of real english speaking examinations taking place. As students talk about photographs placed in front of them images are displayed to allow users of the cd to understand what the students are looking at and speaking about.

The cd uses flash video to time the image displays perfectly whilst still allowing users full control over the video. The cd also enables users to open and print pdf files.
